What is my job as proofreader?

As well as all of the above, I will, if required, make any suggestions for amendments, or changes to the flow of a sentence to result in smoother reading.

Of course, if there is something specific you want me to do that hasn’t been mentioned, I am sure it can be accommodated. Each person’s manuscript / document is different and I have, therefore, found that expectations can be different.

Remember, sometimes a fresh pair of eyes spot things that would not have been seen otherwise.

I am fully trained in the use of proofreading textual marks (as per the British Standards Group publication, 2005) and am more than happy to work using these.
